Suzanne van den Eynden

Hi everyone! Most of you might not remember me anymore since I was only with you guys during senior year, as an exchange student from The Netherlands. I however have such fond memories of my time at Revere, that I would love to add a little piece to the reunion website. Elizabeth Fihe told me about the upcoming reunion and the website, what a wonderful idea to have people write about their adventures since High School!
So here’s what I’ve been up to. After going back to The Netherlands I went to the university of The Hague to do a course called Higher European Studies, an international program with a major in communications management. During this course I studied a semester in France and did a six months internship with Amnesty International Australia in Sydney. Back in The Netherlands I started working for the Dutch Red Cross, doing fundraising and event management. I missed Australia so much though that I decided to go back for one year. I had a wonderful time and managed to get a job with Spinal Cord Injuries Australia, which was really interesting. When I returned again to Holland, I went back to university to study Journalism, one of my other dreams. During this course I got a job with the local newspaper in The Hague. For about a year and a half I’ve been working for a daily newspaper, which I really love.
I’ve included a photo of me and my boyfriend Erik. We’ve only been dating for 8 months but have known eachother since I was 14. It’s taken us quite some time to find out that we’ve been made for eachother, but everything’s wonderful now and we are very happy together.
Good luck to all of you and have a great day Saturday. I look forward to seeing some of you next year at Elizabeth’s wedding!
