Greetings former classmates! I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s bios. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to the reunion, but it sounds like a great party.

After a year at OU I followed Chris Wilcox (a Copley grad who eventually became my husband) out to Nevada/California where he was working for Patagonia. We spent time in Tahoe and then in Monterey where I finished school in Visual Public Art and Spanish at CSUMB. I took up surfing, got a bit sidetracked from my career path, and Chris and I spent a few years on and off traveling throughout central and South America.

In March of 2005 we semi-settled in central coastal Chile and opened a language institute offering ESL to locals and intensive Spanish courses for travelers, students, and surfers, etc…We also invested in property and have a few vacation rental cabanas as a side business.

It’s a cool lifestyle. I meet people from all over the world and have time to surf and occasionally get into the Andes. In November we are expecting out first child! If anyone makes it to Chile look me up! – val@pichilemulanguage.com
